Host a Biochar Burn at Your Property
A Biochar Burn is a communal event – a chance to invite your friends and neighbors to learn about how they can make their property more sustainable. Paul will bring his portable flame cap kiln to your site (you supply the biomass material for the burn). You’ll learn the what, why and how of biochar and how it benefits the soil and the planet. You will keep the char that is made during the burn. There is no limit on the number or age of people who can attend. However, ideal attendance for a burn is between 5-15 people.
Requirements for a burn at your property:
Length of time for burn: 3-5 hours (Paul will get there earlier to set up and stay later to clean up)
Cost for hosting a burn: $500
After you submit the form, someone will contact you within the week to set up a site visit and determine if your property meets the requirements to host a burn.

- Quantity of brush, downed limbs, etc. (a lot! the drier the better)
- A cleared space with no fire hazard
- Access to running water
